Welcome to curling in Beaverton. Curling is one of the most popular
winter sports in Canada with thousands of participants partaking in both the
social and competitive aspects of the game. If you are new to curling,
check out the links section for more information about curling and come out
and throw some rocks; some one will show you how. The Beaverton Curling Club
is renowned for its excellent ice and friendly atmosphere - give it a try!
Beaverton Curling Club is celebrating its 125th Anniversary in 2009, along with the Town of Beaverton. As part of the celebrations the Beaverton Curling Club will be hosting the Ontario Provincial Mixed and Senior Championship April 8 to 11, 2009. The Beaverton Curling Club is located on the Eastern Shores of Lake Simcoe, in Beaverton, Ontario. The Club boasts clean, air conditioned, modern facilities including four sheets of ice, change rooms, lockers, kitchen and bar.
History
The original Beaverton Curling Rink was built in 1897 on Bay Street near the location of the present Fire Station. By 1976, this building was in disrepair. With financial assistance from The Town Council, the Fair Board, and the Provincial Government, the new Curling Club was officially opened on March 19th, 1977.
Rentals
The Beaverton Curling Club facilities are available for rent all year round. The club supplies a bartender for licensed functions. Meal preparation is left up to the renter.
The lounge/dining area including kitchen is $250 plus GST for non-members and $200 plus GST for a member.
The entire club including the ice surface is $300 plus GST for non-members and $250 plus GST for a member.
Hourly rental rates are $50 plus GST.

Ice
There are four (4) sheets of ice available for curling which are maintained by professional ice makers. The ice is used for scheduled play from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 P.M. People may practice when a free sheet of ice is available by calling 705-426-7418.
Lounge Facility
There are Alcoholic beverages and light snacks available in the air conditioned lounge/dining area. The lounge/dining area can accommodate 115 people.
Kitchen
The kitchen is fully equipped with a Garland Gas Stove (8 burners,24 inch grill,2 ovens), a Habco double door fridge and dishes for 108 people
